Driving From Vancouver:
Powell River is a scenic drive and two ferry sailings (approximately 4.5 hours) from Horseshoe Bay, just outside of Vancouver.

From Vancouver, drive to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal. Take the Horseshoe Bay-Langdale ferry, crossing time approximately 45 minutes. Drive north on Hwy. 101 for an hour-and-a-half up to the peninsula (a very scenic drive) to Earl's Cove. Take the Earl's Cove - Saltery Bay ferry, crossing time approximately 50 minutes. Upon disembarking, drive north on the continuation of Hwy 101 for half an hour to reach downtown Powell River. You pay for the ferry in Horseshoe Bay and that covers the entire trip!

By Air:
Flying to Powell River from Vancouver is easy and quick (25-30 minutes). Pacific Coastal Airlines operates numerous flights per day between Powell River and Vancouver's South Terminal, just minutes from the Main international Airport. Complimentary shuttle service is available from the Main Airport to the South Terminal, call 273-8666. By Bus:
Malaspina Coach Lines has regularly scheduled bus runs twice a day to and from Powell River and Vancouver. Their toll free number is 1-877-227-8287.

Driving From From Victoria / Vancouver Island: Drive to Comox, then take the Little River-Powell River Ferry, crossing time 1 hour, 15 minutes.
